Customer company requirement

Among the leaders in the production, processing, storage and sale of apples and kiwis all over the world, the company has expressed the need to implement an efficient energy management system in order to reduce and optimize production costs, together with the will be able to reach a level of automated management of the entire energy sector, exploiting and integrating the existing 1 MW photovoltaic system.

The main needs expressed, and verified by Albasystem were:

reduction of production management costs.
optimization of the processes of use of electrothermal energy, in order to reduce costs and maximize yeld.

Project objective

Following a detailed preliminary analysis of the production process, Albasystem highlights the possibility of exploiting the Aspecindustry system to achieve some fundamental objectives: managing the thermal component on production lines with a solution that allows to abandon the diesel fuel and create an automatic management system intelligent for all the dynamics of energy operation, with priority of self-consumption and storage of the thermal energy produced, with the ultimate and overall goal of energy saving, optimization of processes and management costs.

Interventions carried out with the installation of the Aspecindustry system:

Albasystem has dealt specifically with:

derive the thermoelectric needs of the entire production process.

Develop a new thermal power plant with all the components of the Aspecindustry system (control and inteface panels, pumps, valves, sensors and various actuators, two water boilers, water-electricity cogenerator, external heat sink, counters, etc...).

Install the Liquigas LNG as a cogenerator power supply, thus choosing the most ecological, economical and efficient answer as an alternative to the lack of methane gas in the area.

Take charge, again using the Aspecindustry system, of the thermal component on the production lines. Some points have been identified on the apple processing lines in which to install special high efficiency water exchangers and multiple sensors able to send information on the status of the water and the components present on the line (such as dampers, motors, valves, etc...).

Perform the overall renovation of the thermoelectric plants, necessary to achieve the objectives of operational reliability, energy saving and management of a self-production process that would allow a consequent maximization of the self-consumption and optimal integration of the existing 1 MW photovoltaic plant.

Withdrawal of the white certificates given by the high efficiency CAR cogenerator and the controlled dissipation managed by Aspec Industry.

Total respect of emissions Piedmont Region.

Access to the Piedmont Energy ROP.

Stable and tested system with backup guarantee given by the boilers for the thermal part and by the network for the electric part.

Service contract for remote management and implementation guarantee with the newest and most performing new releases.
